Pom Pom Crabs, also knows as Cheerleading crabs, are some of the hardest crabs to find in the aquarium hobby. This fully aquatic, freshwater crab is found in Southeast Asia, parts of Africa, and Australia, and is one of the least aggressive crab species in the hobby. Due to it's super friendly and non-aggressive behavior, it can be kept in any community freshwater tank. Although it is extremely peaceful, we still recommend being careful and keeping a very close eye when housed with dwarf shrimp. Pom Pom crabs are small and only grow to be 1.25" - 1.5".
They are truly a rarity and an incredible species overall.
Pom Pom crabs are scavengers and will accept pretty much all foods.
